Troubleshooting your CSS
sometimes it's difficult to spot if a CSS rule is in conflict with another area of code. But here's a very basic guide to begin troubleshooting your CSS:
* Validate the HTML {checking for incorrectly nested elements}
* Validate the CSS {check for punctuation/parse errors}
* Take a copy of your page before you start
* Remove all the HTML between the body> /body> tags
* strip out all your CSS rules.
* add back in main layout Divs and their CSS rules {size, positioning, padding and margin rules etc., {not the "pretty" fluff, font styling etc..}, one by one
* add back any headers and footers one by one
* add temporary background colors to these layout divs to see if they are where you expect them to be
* add padding and margin rules back in one by one
* add in some content.. some plain and

Convert PSD into Xhtml
As far as web designer concerned you would certainly like to learn “how” to code PSD into a CSS/Xhtml/. To say it even more ethically, your are converting images into JPEG,PNG etc, but learning the way of converting a PSD in Xhtml is slightly different.

Firstly open Photoshop application before we proceed any further. Now from the Main Menu, click on the File Menu on the top of the window and select the Open option from list. This will allow you to pick an existing PSD file on your local computer. Once you have selected a PSD file, you should go back into File Menu and select the Edit in ImageReady option from the list. This will open the PSD document in ImageReady. To proceed further, you can select the Slice tool from the Tools palette which is located vertically either in right or left side of the Photoshop application. This tool will help us define the way you would like to divide your PSD documents.
Once you finished up the slicing on the images in your PSD document you will find those areas starting to hide under blue numerated lines and squares. This is the indication of a slice. Slices can be identified very easily as been placed appropriately into proportionate images. Never try to slice an image twice as this will only increase overhead. You are now left to define the output parameters through which you will get these slices converted into pictures along with the code that you need the most.
